The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of the meaning of work on the relationship between the recognition of organizational fairness and job esteem among social workers, and to compare the differences between the group of regular Social workers and the group of non-regular social workers. For this purpose, I surveyed 600 social workers who work in social welfare facilities in Jeollabuk-do, and 541 of those responses were used in the final analysis. As a result, first, as the social worker's awareness of organizational fairness increased, job esteem increased. Second, as the meaning of work of social workers increased, job esteem increased. Third, the meaning of work of social worker mediated the effect of the recognition of organizational fairness on job esteem. Fourth, the mediating effects of organizational fairness, job esteem, and meaning of work were compared between the group of regular social workers and the group of non-regular social workers. The results showed that the meaning of work full mediated the relationship between organizational fairness perception and job esteem among regular workers. On the other hand, in the case of non-regular social workers, the meaning of work partial mediated the relationship between organizational fairness and job esteem. On the basis of these results, I suggested ways to improve organizational fairness, improve the meaning of work, and improve the work environment for non-regular social workers.
